The 1000 miles: the world's most important regularity race
.Born in 1927 as a speed race from the intuition of Giovanni Canestrini, Franco Mazzotti, Renzo Castagneto and Aymo Maggi, the 1000 Miglia is today the regularity race for historic cars that crosses the unique scenery of the most beautiful Italy. A journey through the warmth of the public and the enthusiasm of the participants, in the wake of the daring and innovative spirit of its origins. A week-long experience for unique pieces of art and design on the move, along the classic route from Brescia to Rome and back.Only cars of which at least one example has taken part in one of the editions of the 1000 Miglia from 1927 to 1957 and is registered in the Registro 1000 Miglia can take part in the event.
The participation of Il Sole 24 Ore
.Renewed interest and participation of Il Sole 24 Ore for this prestigious event that brings together car enthusiasts and Italy in general from all over the world. We will be keeping a daily diary, recounting the landscapes we have crossed, the warmth of the public (which we are sure will be very large and of all ages) and the performance of the cars we will be driving along the route: the AMG A45 S and the AMG-GT. We look forward to seeing you at the start and at all the stages scheduled for the 2024 edition of the 1000 Miglia.
