In view of the weekend, traffic will intensify already in the evening. More traffic is expected on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May, particularly on the routes to the seaside resorts. Most affected are the state roads on the Ionian, Adriatic and Tyrrhenian sides, especially between Tuscany and Liguria and along the coasts of Campania, Calabria and Basilicata, as well as the A2 Mediterranean motorway, also to reach the embarkations for Sicily.
Temporary closure of the A22 Brenner motorway
On the occasion of the temporary closure of the A22 Brenner motorway - not the responsibility of Anas: for a protest demonstration on Austrian territory from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., variable message signs will be activated on the state roads in the vicinity of the closed area. In Veneto state roads 47, 51, 51Bis and 52 will be affected; in Lombardy state roads 301, 38, 45Bis and 42 will be affected.
The returns to the big cities are expected to start on 1 June and intensify on 2 June along the A2 Mediterranean motorway, state roads 18 Tirrena Inferiore and 106 Jonica in Calabria, the A19 motorway in Sicily, state road 1 'Aurelia' between Lazio, Tuscany and Liguria, the Grande Raccordo Anulare in Lazio, state road 309 'Romea' and state road 16 'Adriatica'.
When HGVs cannot drive
On the entire road and motorway network, the circulation of heavy vehicles will be suspended on Saturday 30 May from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday 31 May from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday 2 June from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m
