(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor)- The Lombardy Region confirms its commitment to the local entrepreneurial fabric. In order to support companies in difficulty and to avoid the risk of their bankruptcy, a new call for tenders has been launched, promoted by Regional Councillor for Economic Development Guido Guidesi. In particular, the tool is dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises that have undertaken or are about to undertake a restructuring process and need resources to finance the relaunch phase of their business, at a delicate time in terms of access to credit. The measure, worth EUR 20 million, is part of the new negotiated settlement law.
A measure to support access to credit
In light of the fact that one of the main difficulties for a company - after having faced and overcome, also with the involvement of its stakeholders, a period of difficulty - is that of being able to find those who will give it new finance to carry out its development and relaunch plans, the Lombardy Region has taken steps to put in place a way to provide the resources to restart and remain on the market, and thus trigger a virtuous process of growth and relaunch. The measure, in fact, provides access to a free regional guarantee, or partially free at the request of the beneficiary, on a medium- to long-term loan provided by Finlombarda Spa for an amount of between EUR 400,000 and EUR 2,000,000 and with a duration of 24 to 72 months, including any pre-amortisation. It also makes it possible to obtain a non-repayable contribution up to a maximum of EUR 60,000, exclusively for companies that have successfully concluded the negotiated crisis settlement, a new institution of the Code for business crisis and insolvency aimed at preventing the crisis and guaranteeing business continuity. The EUR 20.1 million available is broken down as follows: EUR 11.5 million for the loan ceiling, EUR 8 million for the guarantee, and EUR 600,000 for the non-repayable contribution.
A hedge for investment
.The guarantee-assisted financing can be used to cover tangible and intangible investments for business development, carried out at operating sites in the Lombardy region. The measure is aimed at companies that have successfully concluded a negotiated settlement for the resolution of the business crisis or companies that have an approved debt restructuring agreement, an approved arrangement with creditors or an approved restructuring plan in place, which has been complied with for at least 9 months after the relevant decree of approval. Applications can be submitted until 18 September 2026. All information can be found on the Regione Lombardia website www.imprese.regione.lombardia.it.
