The 25 April of the centre-right: Forza Italia Giovani parades with the Anpi, Lega Nord mayor sings 'Bella ciao'

Not only the opposition will be demonstrating on Liberation Day. The centre-right majority will be at the procession in Milan with the Forza Italia youths, while a delegation of the Azzurri juniors will be at the American cemetery in Nettuno to commemorate the victims of the conflict. In the meantime, the Lega Nord mayor of the small municipality of Noventa Padovana Marcello Bano, who wanted to sing 'Bella ciao' together with his citizens, is causing discussion. A choice that he defended on his social profiles, announcing the inclusion of the song in the setlist of the town concert.

Among the demonstrators in the Milan procession for 25 April are also the colours of Forza Italia Giovani Lombardia, who chose to take to the streets without receiving any counter-indications from the party. A decision explained by the secretary Andrea Ninzoli and the communications manager Andrea Maniscalco who guarantee 'seriousness and composure' in a procession that, alongside the Anpi and the democrats, will also draw the Pro Pal.

"25 April is only divisive for those who recognise the values of fascism. For everyone else it represents a founding anniversary of our Republic, a moment of national unity in the name of freedom and democracy. Silvio Berlusconi was right: it is and must remain everyone's holiday,' says Daniele Aiello, national head of the Forza Italia youth organisation.

Today, says Aiello, the young Azzurri will be 'in Rome with a delegation together with the national secretary Simone Leoni, at the American cemetery in Nettuno, to pay homage to those young men who sacrificed their lives to restore freedom and democracy to Italia'.

While in the Chamber during the vote on the security decree, the League did not join in with Mameli's Hymn sung by the deputies of Fratelli d'Italia, nor did it sing 'Bella ciao' chanted from the opposition benches, the Lega mayor Marcello Bano defended the choice of chanting in a social video the notes of a song traditionally considered left-wing but actually 'a hymn of freedom and full of love', announcing that the song will be performed together with his citizens during the holiday.
