A new photovoltaic plant in Alessandria and a 19% reduction in CO2 emissions, 170 employees benefiting from welfare initiatives and more than 1,000 hours of training courses: these are some of the results of the 2023 Sustainability Report of Paglieri, a Piedmont-based manufacturer of body, laundry and home care products.
The document reflects the commitment to pursuing environmental, social and economic sustainability goals, in line with the company's Future Vision strategy - launched in May 2022 - to guide the company's growth along industrial and organisational culture lines with a business plan that envisages around EUR 27 million in investments for the three-year period 2024 - 2026.
"The Sustainability Report demonstrates Paglieri's commitment to addressing not only the future challenges within the company, but also the challenges inherent to the context in which we operate, in order to provide consumers with products of ever-increasing quality and stakeholders with a complete vision of the company," says Fabio Rossello, Paglieri's CEO. Having a positive impact on the territory and on people is only possible thanks to a good industrial and human capital investment policy, the reduction of direct emissions of climate-altering gases, and the search for a value chain that is increasingly suited to the environmental, economic and social challenges of the future'.
Debora Paglieri, CEO of Paglieri, adds: "The year 2023 saw us addressing issues related to energy consumption, workplace management and the company's Made in Italy proposal. In line with our vision, our future goals include a more conscious use of materials and resources, with a renewed focus on stakeholders and consumers in the continuity of the tradition that has guided us for over 200 years'.
For seven generations now, family values and tradition have been transversal elements underlying the implementation and evolution of Paglieri's business model. Each generation that has led the company has left the next one a healthy reality with solid foundations to continue to grow and endure. The company bases its business model on the synergic co-existence of innovation and Italian tradition, enhancing the value of its brands as symbols of the quality of made in Italy in the country and abroad.
