77 million ready for Its Academy in 2026

With a bit of months to spare, the decree of the Ministry of Education and Merit is ready to release the national funds to the Its Academy for the year 2026, which have, moreover, gone up thanks to the last budget law. The measure, which has been forwarded to the control bodies, has in fact put 77,243,380 euros on the plate, some thirty more than the usual level of ordinary funding (48.3 million euros).

The purpose of the Fund is to support and expand the educational offerings of the Its Academies, with particular attention to the activation of new courses, also abroad, the upgrading of laboratories and technologically advanced infrastructures, and the provision of scholarships to support internships and training placements. A 30% bonus is also envisaged for the Its Foundations that stand out for the best results in terms of training performance.

At the instigation of the Ministry of Education and Merit, the Fund was significantly increased as part of the 2026 Budget Law, making it possible to allocate an additional amount of more than EUR 30 million to the Its Academies in the various regions. In addition to these resources, again for 2026, there will also be funding earmarked for the activation of campuses of the technological-professional chain. These are infrastructural interventions that will be disbursed to the regions after the approval of the relevant technical-economic feasibility plans, for a total amount of approximately EUR 19.5 million.

"With this intervention, we are decisively continuing our investment in the Its Academies, which represent an increasingly strategic training model for the country," said the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara. "We are strengthening the training offer, enhancing laboratories, supporting students with scholarships, and expanding opportunities at the international level as well. The increase in resources and the development of campuses in the technological-professional sector go in the direction of an increasingly innovative education system that is closely linked to the needs of the world of work. It is a choice that enhances young people and strengthens the competitiveness of the national production system'.
