Parental leave at 80% for 3 months or more, majority at work
The majority - according to parliamentary sources - is working on confirming optional parental leave at 80 per cent of salary for three months after the end of compulsory parental leave. It would therefore at least replicate the measure of the last manoeuvre

Three months of 80% compensable parental leave also in the new budget manoeuvre: this is the goal of the government, which last year had already included the intervention in favour of families.
It is 'a period of voluntary abstention from work granted to parents in order to care for the child in its first years of life and meet its emotional and relational needs'.
In detail, there are eightteen months of leave to which employed parents are entitled: the first quarter is 80% compensable (if taken within six years of the child's birth or entry into the family); the next six months are 30% compensable; the last two months are not compensable (unless the applicant parent's income is less than 2.5 times the annual amount of the minimum pension: in that case it remains at 30%).
The government is working precisely on the first three months, to confirm them at 80 per cent. Not only that: according to Ansa, the majority is reasoning about the costs to cover a further extension of the intervention.
