A public meeting at Officine H on 27 October and a calendar of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Confindustria Canavese. Con ndustria Canavese celebrates the 80th anniversary of its foundation this year. 'Past and future together in an indissoluble weave' is the passage chosen by the association of industrialists led by ... to capture the meaning of the initiative, which reflects the identity of an area forged by such a unique experience as Olivetti's development.

'With this series of initiatives,' explains the president of Confindustria Canavese, Paolo Conta, 'we want to remember the many things that have been achieved from its birth to today, the challenges faced and the objectives reached. But above all, we want to talk about the future, aiming at a development model for the Canavese area that, based on its historical DNA, becomes a point of reference for the convergence of knowledge between the technological and social domains, a centre of competence for the sustainable development of technologies for mankind'.

The theme of industry and technological humanism, with a series of thematic seminars organised in cooperation with Luiss University Press, as well as the publication of the magazine 'La meraviglia del Possibile' dedicated to Confindustria Canavese and industrial development, with a vision of a territorial development model, represent the red thread of the events on the calendar.

Also linked to development themes is participation in the Festival della Lettura 'La Grande Invasione' in Ivrea and in events promoted by partner companies and associations in the area, starting with the Spille d'Oro Olivetti, an association that rewards virtuous companies in their path of economic and social growth. Accompanying all the initiatives is a celebratory logo created ad hoc, to encourage recognition of the events that take their cue from the area's deepest industrial identity, capable of bringing together mechanics and ICT.

'On 26 October 1945, Adriano Olivetti and a dozen other entrepreneurs had the audacity to look beyond and imagine a necessarily new future. Thus was born the Industrial Association of Canavese, which later became Confindustria Canavese in 2005,' the association wrote in a note. 'Today, the Association has over 350 members and over 12,200 employees,' recalls president Conta. 'Remembering 80 years is for us a moment of great celebration and pride to be shared not only with the member companies, but, given the importance of the impact of Olivetti's thought, with the entire national territory.
