A building collapses in the Fermo area after an explosion, one dead and two injured

In Porto Sant'Elpidio (Fermo), a building collapsed at dawn in Via Trentino after a deflagration, possibly caused by the bursting of a gas cylinder: according to the first information, one person died, while two others were rescued and transported to the hospital in Fermo and, by helicopter, to the Torrette hospital in Ancona. It was just after 5 a.m. when the 112 emergency call came in from the street bordering the Adriatica state road. The 118 emergency services and fire brigade are working to search for any bodies left under the rubble.
