We continue in our summer of festivals, where the music scenes also make us discover scenic riches. Like Lake Maggiore, with Stresa and the Borromean Islands, epicentre of the glorious Festival. Like the Ligurian Sea, which is the backdrop to the Festival in Cervo, a village that is a member of the Associazione I Borghi più belli d'Italia, born within ANCI. And for those in town, the reflections of the sunset on the marble Terraces of Milan Cathedral will be an enchanting discovery.

Stresa (VCO)

From 17 August to 6 September the second part of the Stresa Festival. Among the numerous concerts, staged in an innovative way and in places and spaces of great interest (including Isola Bella and Isola Madre), we would like to mention the cellist Ditta Rohmann on 21-22 with the complete Soli by Bach for this instrument. The concerts will be held at the Hermitage of Santa Caterina, in Leggiuno, and also include a boat trip from Stresa; the enchanting Hermitage, high above Lake Maggiore, can only be reached on foot. Of further interest is the possibility of participating in a meeting with the cellist before the concert. On the 18th at the Stresa Festival Hall Monteverdi's 'Vespro della Beata Vergine' with the ensemble La Tempête, an example of the composer's desire to unite the arts in a true dramaturgy. In this case a composer such as Luca Mosca, whom RadioTre audiences well appreciate for his captivating "Music Lessons", will narrate the Vespro in the afternoon of the 18th.
