The season of big concerts and festivals is coming into full swing. One of the most eagerly awaited tours is that of Vasco Rossi, who will perform tonight on stage at the Romeo Neri stadium in Rimini. Among the many big names on tour is the return of Ricky Martin, who will be in San Benedetto del Tronto on 21 June for the Sanpark Adriatic festival. From North to South, the summer festival line-up includes dozens of appointments all over Italia. You can start in the capital with "Rock in Roma", one of the most searched online on Google perhaps also due to its almost two months of programming. It is among the most eagerly awaited rock events of the Italian summer, hosts international artists every year and attracts thousands of fans from all over Italia. Even on social media, the event confirms its success with over 56,000 followers. There are no less than 1.6 million followers on Instagram of "Party like a Deejay", which between electronic music, hip-hop and Italian rap is taking place until Sunday in Milan's Parco Sempione. Among the many who will take turns on stage are Ditonellapiaga, Fulminacci, Levante, Pinguini tattici nucleari, The Kolors, Tommaso Paradiso, Emis Killa, Ernia, Fabri Fibra and many other stars.
As much as the name is a programme, it fits perfectly for 'Firenze rock', a three-day event that from next Friday will respectively line up Lenny Kravitz followed by Robbie Williams on Saturday, while on Sunday 14 June the festival will be closed by The Cure. Concerts will be opened by bands including Tuscany's Burning Blood, Salmo, the British band Mystery Jets, singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and ending with Mogwai.
Alternative and rock music, bands and indie artists at 'La prima estate', a two-weekend event organised in Lido di Camaiore. Marlene Kuntz will perform on 20 June, Nick Cave and the bad seeds on Friday 26, and Gorillaz on Saturday. The festival format envisages four concerts by international artists and bands from the indie, classic rock and dance scene to be experienced and enjoyed in a large green park 50 metres from the sea.
Shortly between the end of June and the end of July there will be "Lucca summer festival. Among the giants not to be missed on 17 July is Ronnie Wood & His Band, the only Italian date of the artist since 1975 guitarist of the Rolling Stones. What else to add except that the day before the same stage will see Zucchero perform, while on 19 July it will be time for Katy Perry. The calendar will also feature Jamiroquai, in his only performance in Italia, John Legend while Riccardo Muti will bring the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra. The festival will be officially closed on 29 July by Pooh, who will make a stop in Lucca with their tour celebrating the group's 60th anniversary.
Turin will be the capital of electronic music with the 'Kappa Futurfestival', which is internationally popular because it attracts fans from all over Europe. At Parco Dora, the festival will last three days, from 3 to 5 July, with a line-up that includes a hundred bands and artists. The event also has an overseas twin: another Futurfestival will be held on 13 and 14 November in Monterrey, Mexico.
