Leone in Camerun, l’appello contro i «capricci di ricchi» e il nodo della crisi anglofona

A thousand hires, improved working hours and compensation. These are the three chapters around which the agreement that recomposed the two-year-long dispute between Enel and Filctem, Flaei and Uiltec over the E-Distribuzione company revolves.
The hypothesis of the agreement, on which more than 300 trade unionists worked, will now have to be voted on by the workers in workplace assemblies. As a premise, for the trade unions the agreement contains measures that ensure an appropriate balance between economic aspects and quality of life, with a focus on well-being at work and work life balance.
The pivot that underpins the whole agreement is the new distribution of shifts, with a reduction in services in the afternoon shift and an increase in the economic compensation for hours worked in the morning and afternoon shifts from the current 11% to 15%. This allows for a fairer compensation for working discomfort. The new organisation of shifts will be accompanied by a major employment plan, which provides for one thousand new hires, in addition to those already implemented in recent years.
