Three people were killed in a collision between a van and a car that occurred this morning at around 7.30 am on the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, in the section between Ceprano and Pontecorvo, heading south, in the Arce (Frosinone) area. The van belonged to a construction company based in the province of Frosinone and was transporting some workers to a building site in the Cassino area: three of them were stuck in the vehicle and the Fire Brigade had to intervene to free them. The car with which he collided was driven by a driver from Frosinone, who is now in the Santa Scolastica hospital in Cassino with a red code. The accident resulted in a queue of about 5 kilometres, which has now been almost entirely resolved, and traffic is now flowing on a single lane. Autostrade company personnel, the 118 emergency services and the Cassino traffic police are working on the scene.
