Accountants, average income rises to EUR 80,848 and is up 10.1%

The average income of the 119,952 members of the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts increased by 10.1%, while among the registered overall there was a decline of 0.4% or 472.
This is what emerges from the report on members of the Register of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, which will be presented today in Rome during the Stati generali dei commercialisti at the Rome Convention Centre la Nuvola.
Income
.The average income of members at the end of 2024 (tax year 2023) is €80,648 with an annual increase of €7,351, net of inflation the average income is €66,706 and the growth is 4%. The previous year the average income was 73,277 (64,165 euro when deflated).
The category's income has been growing since 2016, with a surge in the last three years (+10.1% in 2024, + 7.6% in 2023 and + 9.3% in 2022).
Looking in more detail, the average income of members of the Chartered Accountants' Fund is 88,366 euro (+10% compared to 2023) while members of the Accountants' Fund declare an average income of 60,943 euro (+9%).
