Adobe brings Photoshop Express and Acrobat to ChatGPT: free creative editing for millions of users
Integration revolutionises access to Adobe professional tools through AI's conversational interface
Adobe announced the launch of three of its flagship applications - Photoshop, Adobe Express and Acrobat - directly within ChatGPT, making the creative and productivity tools accessible for free to the 800 million weekly users of the OpenAI platform. The integration, available on desktop, web and iOS (with Adobe Express already operational on Android as well), represents a significant breakthrough in democratising professional editing: users can now edit images, create designs and manage PDF documents simply by describing in words what they want to achieve, without having to open Adobe's native applications.
How Integration Works
To use Adobe tools in ChatGPT, simply mention the name of the app in the prompt. For example, by typing 'Adobe Photoshop, blur the background of this image', the chatbot will automatically activate Photoshop and guide the user through the editing process. Available features also include editing specific parts of images, adjusting brightness, contrast and exposure, applying creative effects such as Glitch and Glow, with slider controls to refine the intensity of the effects.
Prompt' features also include access to Adobe's professional design library, creation of customised invitations and graphics, animation of elements, all directly in the chat without having to switch applications.
As far as Acrobat is concerned, it provides for direct editing of PDFs in conversation, extraction of text and tables, merging and organising multiple files, compressing documents and converting them into PDFs while maintaining formatting and quality.
Adobe provided three concrete examples of use that demonstrate the versatility of integration.
