Aeffe: Mimit, two potential buyers in the running for the fashion group, bids expected
New meeting on 30 June with a basic proposal for any further negotiations
There are two potential buyers in the running for Aeffe, the Romagna-based fashion group behind the Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Pollini brands, which is currently undergoing a negotiated settlement procedure to resolve its financial crisis. This emerged during a meeting at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy dedicated to the company’s situation.
According to a statement, the company announced during the meeting that it is currently in talks "with two potential investors, both of whom are interested in enhancing the value of its production assets in Italia and the skills of its workforce".
In the coming weeks, following an assessment of the expected bids, “the proposal offering the best guarantees of production continuity, job protection and the enhancement of the country’s industrial assets will be selected”. On the Milan Stock Exchange, the share price rose by 27% today after showing signs of recovery in recent trading sessions. At the meeting scheduled for 30 June, the investor’s proposal will be presented, which will form the basis of the competitive process “with a possible subsequent phase of improved bids”.
