Agreement on training and skills development in the chemical sector

Agreement for the development of training projects between Federchimica, the National Federation of the Chemical Industry, and the Its Academy Foundations in the Chemical and New Life Technologies area. The aim of the initiative is to strengthen the link between the education system and the national production fabric, promoting the dissemination of technical and scientific culture as a key driver for the country's growth and development.

At the heart of the project is the activation of a constant communication channel between Its Academy and companies, in order to monitor training needs, also in the light of the green and digital challenges that increasingly characterise the sector, thus enabling the training of professionals with specific and up-to-date skills, ready to successfully enter the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological fields.

Through this collaboration, the parties also undertake to improve orientation activities to attract young talents to highly innovative paths, also contributing to make the educational offer more uniform and structured throughout Italy.

Several Its Academy Foundations in the Chemistry and New Technologies area have joined the initiative, well distributed throughout the country: from Lombardy to Apulia, via Piedmont, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Calabria and Sicily.

Thanks to the close cooperation with the business world, which is entrusted with about half of the teaching hours, the percentage of Its Academy graduates with a work contract 12 months after graduation is 84%, with a 93% coherence between study path and type of employment (source: Indire).
