The Italian Electronic Commerce Association (Aicel) is establishing five scholarships worth 2,000 euros each. The initiative is aimed at male and female students who have completed a master's degree course at an Italian university between April 2024 and April 2025. The prerequisite for the candidature is to have demonstrated in one's course of study a marked interest in e-commerce-related topics, with particular regard to the evolution of e-commerce in the economic, social, legislative, ethical and communication spheres. Also rewarded will be the ability to outline a prospective vision of the future of the sector.
The scholarships are financed with the collaboration of the Rotary Foundation, in virtue of the particular attention the non-profit organisation has always paid to the educational needs of young people. The deadline for submitting applications to ecampus@aicel.org is 30 April 2025. The works will be assessed and selected by a commission created ad hoc and composed of experts and professionals from Aicel, as well as figures with specialised skills from Rotary Club Brescia Next, a reality present in the Brescia area with a strong focus on innovation and young people.
Creating training opportunities
.Andrea Spedale, President of Aicel, comments: 'With this initiative we want to create training and professional opportunities for young people from all over Italy who are interested in the development of ecommerce. In recent years, the e-commerce market has grown exponentially both nationally and internationally, but the potential for further expansion is still considerable. Moreover, with the ever-widening spread of e-commerce, the compliance aspects to be worked on in line with European regulations have multiplied. The aim is to ensure total security and transparency for users and to contribute to the goals of ecological transition, which affect logistics in particular. Our association is constantly in direct contact with organisations, institutions and universities to outline the ideal scenario for the future of ecommerce. We are convinced that the ideas and contribution of the new generations can give great impetus to our sector'.
