It was a difficult month for Airbus which delivered 72 aircraft in November, down from last month when deliveries were 78 and 84 in the same month last year. Since January, 657 aircraft have left the Toulouse factory. A few days ago Airbus revised downwards the target for the year to 790 from the 820 forecast in January: despite this reduction in the target, to meet it the European manufacturer will have to deliver 133 aircraft in a month, a very high number taking into account the problems that Airbus has had to face this month from the software update of 6 thousand A320s to the defects in the fuselage panels of about 620 aircraft, caused by a Spanish supplier, most of which were recently produced.
In addition to deliveries, Airbus said in a note that it recorded 75 new orders in November, bringing this year's total to 797, which becomes 700 net of cancellations.
Airbus deliveries remain higher than Boeing, which will publish its November figures on 9 December: from January to October, the American manufacturer's deliveries were 493 with 782 net orders.
