Airelles, international expansion starts at Giudecca
The hospitality group chooses Italy as its first cross-border destination. Opening in Venice planned for April 2026

A debut planned in Venice, on the island of Giudecca, will be the first approach to the Italian market for Airelles. This Italian debut is expected in spring 2026 for the hospitality group founded in 2007, when entrepreneur Stéphane Courbit chose to expand his activities by entering the hospitality sector by acquiring a legendary location, Les Airelles in Courchevel.
The second acquisition, that of La Bastide de Gordes (during 2014), confirmed the ambition to create a collection of exceptional residences, united by common values. Thus Airelles was born. "Airelles represents the perfect harmony between elegance, art de vivre and a deep respect for historical heritage," Anne-Laure Ollagnon, CEO of the Airelles Collection, tells Il Sole 24 Ore exclusively. "Each stay is an invitation to have an intimate experience with the destination, in a journey that blends art, history, gastronomy, wellness, events and local life. With impeccable service, each stay at Airelles must excite and leave an indelible memory.
According to the interviewee, Airelles stands out for its ability to offer authentic and personalised experiences within residences rich in history and character. Each property is designed to create tailor-made stays that combine elegance, culture and attentive service. This will also be the case for Venice, which guests can experience in a new way.
Stéphane Courbit, founder of Airelles, has gradually developed the collection, starting with iconic destinations in France and now looking towards international expansion. "The opening in Venice, on the island of Giudecca, marks the beginning of the internationalisation of the brand," says Anne-Laure Ollagnon.
Airelles Palladio Venezia has 45 keys, including 17 rooms and 28 suites, a private villa with three rooms, garden and swimming pool, and a 450-square-metre presidential suite with four rooms and a breathtaking view of St. Mark's Square, thanks to its 15-metre overlook. The property consists of three 16th-century buildings surrounded by almost a hectare of gardens. Airelles' goal is to turn this property into the new landmark for Giudecca, with five restaurants, three bars (including a cicchetti bar) and a club. In addition, it will be home to the largest spa and wellness centre in Venice, covering 1,700 square metres and including a swimming pool, fitness centre, yoga centre and a garden dedicated to relaxation.
