Three years after its debut, Alfa Romeo Tonale indulges in a light update that concentrates on the front end, the bumper fascia, and also adds a base version that offers an upgrade to 175 hp for the mild hybrid engine and other features such as a widened track with a technical objective: to reduce both roll and understeer while expressing a sportier appearance on the road. The new list prices are still to be defined, but they should remain more or less at current levels.

From an aesthetic point of view, the detail that changes the new look of the Alfa Romeo Tonale is the front end, where the new shield is clearly visible, now more concave and three-dimensional and echoing that inspired by the brand's historical models. The front trilobe has also been renewed, not to mention the new air intakes and side openings, in addition to 19 or 20 inch alloy wheels and, finally, the widened track widths both front and rear.
Restyling 2026, upgraded mild hybrid up to 175 hp
There are no new features on the engine front, albeit all updated. The Tonale, therefore, retains the 1,600 cc turbodiesel with 160 hp paired to the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The other offerings are the 1,500 cc mild hybrid with the four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that goes from 160 hp to the current 175 hp, again paired to the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Also confirmed is the 1,300 cc three-cylinder plug-in hybrid with 270 hp, also in Q4 version.

The cabin of the new Alfa Romeo Tonale does not change the basic equipment, but evolves the style, improves the materials and colour combinations. Starting with red leather upholstery for the seats with more coordinated stitching or alternatively in two-tone Alcantare. Electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats are available. The central console has been remodelled and accommodates the automatic gear selector, which can be operated from the paddles on the steering wheel. In addition, there is wireless charging.

The digital instrumentation includes a 12.3-inch display, plus the other 10.25-inch screen of the infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and Over-The-Air updates. As for the Adas, the adaptive cruise control with lane keeping, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Detenction, plus the 360° HD camera with expanded vision for the occasion and the parking system that is semi-automatic are worth mentioning.
