This is the decision, taken by a majority, of the judges of the Pre-Trial Chamber of the ICC. In January 2025, the Libyan general was arrested in Turin on an ICC warrant. However, after a few days, he was released due to a procedural technicality and repatriated to Libya on an Italian state flight, an event that triggered a political and judicial case in Italy.
