Alpine is shaping its future whilst staying true to its traditions
The PS1 concept car – which stands for Projet Special 1 – and the A110 Sculpture evoke the models of the future, drawing inspiration from the brand’s history and character
A showcase for innovation. The PS1 concept car – an acronym for ‘Projet Special 1’ – and the A110 Sculpture. Alpine has upheld the tradition of treating the Paris Motor Show as the ideal venue for experimental projects and concept cars that serve as inspiration for the models subsequently produced for the market.
Alpine arrives in Paris on the back of triple-digit growth in 2025 and a levelling off in 2026, driven by its best-selling model, the Alpine A290 sports city car, and flanked by the Alpine A390 sports fastback, which brings Alpine’s DNA to a new segment.
PS1 is the concept’s code name, short for ‘Projet Special 1’. It forms part of the brand’s range of special product projects, alongside ‘Extraordinary Everyday’ and ‘Icons’, represented by the flagship model, the Alpine A110.
The PS1 lived up to expectations, showcasing the brand’s signature design: boldness and lines that look to the future whilst remaining true to tradition.
The Alpine A110 Sculpture: shrouded in a blue veil that evokes lightness and aerodynamic fluidity, it offers a glimpse of the design of the model’s third generation, in which the proportions and stance of the original Berlinette and the current Alpine A110 are reimagined in a contemporary, curvaceous form. Inspired by the Concorde, the first supersonic passenger aircraft, capable of flying from London and Paris to New York in under three hours, this artistic vision is based on the technical foundations of the brand-new Alpine Performance Platform (APP).
