Amazon falls short of expectations, losing 7 per cent on Wall Street

Amazon has reported third-quarter results that fell short of analysts’ expectations. The retail giant’s revenue stood at $201.94 billion, below the forecast of $202.31 billion. Earnings per share came in at $1.89, below the $1.96 forecast by the market. Amazon shares fell on Wall Street, dropping as much as 7 per cent in after-hours trading.
