Harvard, 3 Italian students admitted. Among them Elena Giustina Luciano: a Roman success story

Elena Giustina Luciano, from Rome but of Lucanian origin, is the only Italian student admitted this year to Harvard's University along with two other students from Italy. Out of a total of 1,937 admitted to the class of 2028, the estimated graduation year.

Elena has just graduated from the Liceo Classico 'Torquato Tasso' in Rome and attended her fourth year of high school in the USA at the Regional High School in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, thanks to the international student mobility scheme recognised by the Ministry of Education and Merit, also acquiring her American diploma with flying colours.

The admission process is very competitive; not only an excellent academic record is sufficient, but also an excellent result in the Sat test done on a global scale and an uncommon extracurricular curriculum profile, in addition to the essays, essays that each student must write and submit. The American university admitted 1,937 students this year, for all faculties, of which only 15% were international students from 94 countries, against 54,008 applications.
