Applications are now open for the call to support the music system in Italia, here's how to access the grants

As of 2026, a fund (with an endowment of €1.5 million per year) has been set up by the Ministry of Culture in support of the Italia music system, with the aim of promoting the development, strengthening and relaunching the competitiveness of the sector and broadening public participation in live performances. The electronic platform of the Directorate-General for Entertainment has made available the forms for the submission of applications for contributions for the year 2026 envisaged by Ministerial Decree no. 189 of 4 May 2026 ("Criteria and methods for access to the Fund referred to in Article 1, paragraphs 825 to 827, of Law no. 199 of 30 December 2025, for the financing of measures to develop, strengthen and relaunch competitiveness, as well as to promote the Italian music system").

Companies producing and organising contemporary popular music shows, established as sole proprietorships, partnerships or joint-stock companies, which have produced and organised at least five shows and/or musical events of contemporary popular music, with SIAE code 053 (light music concerts), in the calendar year preceding the year of submission of the grant application, and which meet certain requirements, may apply for a grant. The applications must be submitted exclusively in telematic mode by and no later than 16.00 on 20 July 2026.

'Live music represents a strategic sector for the cultural and economic growth of the country,' said Undersecretary for Culture Pietro Cannella. "With this intervention, we intend to support and enhance the value of companies that produce and organise contemporary popular music performances, favouring the quality of the artistic offer and the diffusion of musical activities throughout the country.
