Antitrust, investigation on Procter & Gamble for the Braun Skin i-Expert epilator
According to the Agcm, the device's advertising campaign shows 'unfair commercial practices'
The Antitrust has opened an investigation for unfair commercial practices against Procter & Gamble for its Braun Skin i-Expert pulsed light epilator promotional campaign, which focused on the effectiveness and durability of the device's results. This was stated in a note.
According to the Authority for Competition and the Market, 'promotional messages spread on different communication channels (TV spots, social media, dedicated webpage, point-of-sale materials and road signs), using the claim "hair-free for two years" (or similar), would misleadingly emphasise the effectiveness of the device, which, moreover, would not be adequately demonstrated'.
