Gas, Arera: +3.8% gas price for vulnerable customers in June

In June, the price of gas for customers in the vulnerable protection service was €36.11/MWh, up 3.8% compared to May. This is what Arera certifies in its usual monthly monitoring, underlining how last month saw wholesale quotations rise compared to those recorded in May. Going into detail, the reference price of gas for the new typical customer is 107.55 eurocents per cubic metre (+3.8% over May).
The value is divided into expenditure for natural gas with 42.20 eurocents (39.23% of the total bill) for natural gas supply and related activities; 6.15 eurocents (5.72% of the total bill) for retail sales. As regards expenditure for transport and meter management: 24.53 eurocents (22.8% of the total bill) for distribution, metering, transport, distribution equalisation, quality services. System charges: 2.95 eurocents (2.74% of the total bill) for general system charges. Finally, taxes: 31.73 eurocents (29.5% of the total bill). As of January 2024, the gas protection service has been replaced by the vulnerability protection service, intended only for vulnerable domestic customers.
