First video game featuring 'intelligent' humans enhanced with Nvidia's Ai arrives

Mecha BREAK will be the first video game to take advantage of Nvidia Ace's artificial intelligence to create non-player characters that can converse naturally and quickly. Mecha BREAK, developed by Amazing Seasun Games, a subsidiary of Kingsoft Corporation, utilises Nvidia Nemotron-4 4B Instruct NIM, a small-scale language model that is seeing the light of day for the first time. Nemotron-4 is a 4-billion-parameter on-device SLM that is part of the Ace suite and allows Npc's (non-player characters) to interact with player characters, respond with a personal approach and perform precise actions.Nvidia's is a new announced revolution that will involve the entire video game industry. The idea is to animate Npcs (non-player characters) with LLMs (large language models) such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Llama. We will then be able to converse with them in a natural and increasingly realistic way.

Until now, for example in the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: we had been able to appreciate Nvidia's Audio2Face tool for synchronising facial animations. The udo of Nemotron-4 B NIM, a small language model (SLM) developed by NVIDIA itself, represents a leap forward. As the Ai giant explained, thanks to Nemotron-4 B NIM, Mecha BREAK's NPCs will be able to understand natural language and answer complex questions.
