Aston Martin Volante, the origin of the name

.

The name Volante was introduced in 1965 with a model known as the 'Short Chassis Volante', one of the rarest cars ever produced by Aston Martin: just 37 examples were produced in one year. Both the Vanquish and the DB12 Volante feature the lightweight K-fold roof, able to open and close in just 14 and 16 seconds up to speeds of 50 km/h.

Q by Aston Martin

.

Q by Aston Martin's in-house team of designers and craftsmen are prized for their ability to create truly bespoke cars and the 60th Anniversary of Volante Edition models are proof of this. How do you commission your own customised Aston Martin and take advantage of Q by Aston Martin's services? You don't need to fly to Great Britain but simply contact the official dealers. In the case of Italy there are three: Bologna, Milan and Verona.

Aston Martin and Pirelli Cyber Tire

.

New additions to the Aston Martin range include Cyber Tire technology from Pirelli. The two companies have signed a collaboration agreement to integrate Pirelli's exclusive Cyber Tyre technology into future models of the British luxury sports car brand. Cyber Tyre is the world's first system capable of collecting data and information from sensors positioned directly inside the tyres, processing them through Pirelli's proprietary software and algorithms and communicating in real time with the vehicle's electronics, generating new functions integrated into the driving and control systems. Thanks to the collaboration with Bosch Engineering, Cyber Tyre will be fully integrated into the electronic architecture that governs vehicle dynamics in future Aston Martin models.
