At EICMA 2026, BMW is expanding its range of small motorbikes
The highlight of the Monaco-based manufacturer’s line-up will be the new ‘small’ F 450 Rr and F 450 R models
BMW is gearing up for EICMA 2026, scheduled to take place from 3 to 8 November at Fiera Milano Rho, with a number of new models in the small-to-medium-capacity segment. At the heart of the Munich-based manufacturer’s participation will be the new F 450 RR and F 450 R, two models designed to expand the brand’s presence in the mid-capacity segment, with a particular focus on younger motorcyclists and holders of an A2 licence.
Both are powered by the 420 cc in-line twin engine producing 48 cv from the F 450 GS off-road bike, developed to comply with the A2 licence requirements. The F 450 RR offers a sporty take on the new F 450 platform: the RR designation, in fact, draws on the tradition of BMW’s sports bikes, with sleek lines and a set-up geared towards dynamic riding, both on the road and on the track.
Alongside the sports model, the F 450 R will make its debut – a naked version that focuses on versatility and an immediate riding experience. Its aim is to offer a more stripped-back alternative, suitable for everyday commuting yet capable of delivering a fun ride on winding roads.
Among the rumours circulating in the run-up to the show are possible developments in the sports range and the GS maxi-enduro models, with particular focus on projects linked to the M family: will there be an M 1300 GS?
