There is a lot of Naples on day number six of #Giffoni54. There is Marco D'Amore with his account of Gomorrah and Caracas and his "dignified silence" on the tragedy of Scampia, Massimiliano Caiazzo with his Mare fuori, Ivan Cotroneo and Vittoria Schisano with La vita che volevi, Nico Acampora with PizzaAut and former swimmer, Olympic champion at Sydeny 2000, Massimiliano Rosolino. But there are also the national premiere of Transformers One, the Metamonsters and Juventus with its Team Jay. Emotions are not lacking, nor are there any shortage of messages of hope.

'I prefer to let a dignified silence descend on this tragedy,' says D'Amore on the collapse of the gallery at the Vela Celeste in Scampia, 'a dignified silence, because I have too many people very dear to me there, including the child who played the protagonist of The Immortal, who is from the Vela Celeste and who was there'. D'Amore is laconic: 'It has been announced for years. Today, when everyone is talking about it and showing solidarity and closeness, I remain silent'. The actor, director and screenwriter does not fail to comment on the condition of cinema in Italy: 'This is a country that does not go to the cinema, that does not have a cinema company, that has always been an exporter of beauty and culture without having any support. Yay for the success ofInside Out 2, but there are great films in Italy and you don't even know they have been released'.

For Massimiliano Caiazzo, beloved Carmine from the series Mare fuori, a circle opened five years ago in Giffoni and in Giffoni it closes. He spoke about it while receiving the Giffoni Award. His character will not be in the fifth season of the successful RAI series. The risk, and Caiazzo knows it well, was to remain imprisoned. Yet, the young actor loved his character very much. And with him he shares 'that need to be protected and to protect the people I love'. From Naples, Ivan Cotroneo and Vittoria Schisano are also arriving at Giffoni on the strength of the success of the Netflix series, produced by Banijay Studios Italy, La vita che volevi, written with Monica Rametta and directed by Cotroneo himself, to meet the Giffoners of the +18 workshops. At the centre of the debate, the TV series that puts a comparison between male and female under the magnifying glass, crumbling all gender stereotypes.

Partenopean (but of export) is also Nico Acampora, founder of the PizzAut project dedicated to the labour inclusion of autistic people with two locations in Cassina de' Pecchi and Monza. In Giffoni, he wants to demonstrate that it is possible to combine entrepreneurship and social inclusion. Coming from Sicily, instead, is the comic duo composed of brothers Fabrizio and Federico Sansone, aka I Sansoni. On the web, they have achieved more than 400 million views in just three years. Their communication is cross-media: from the theatre they have migrated to the web and will soon make their first big screen debut with the film E poi si vede, distributed by Warner Bros.

The previews continue. The wait is over for the Giffoni Film Festival kids who saw the national preview of the much-awaited Transformers One, the new animated chapter of the beloved mutant vehicle saga. The film, directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) with executive producer also Steven Spielberg, will be in cinemas next 20 September. Giffoni will also see the arrival of Metamostri, with the screening of an episode realised on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: Females vs. Males, an episode dedicated to the self-determination of little girls. The cartoons do not end here: his name is Jay, he is the mascot of Juventus and the protagonist of a cartoon series focusing on the values of teamwork, mutual respect and empathy. On day number 6 of the festival, he pays a visit to Generators +6 with the screening of two episodes from the new season, broadcast as the first on youtube.

A busy day also for Giffoni Sport, which opens with the Olympic champion of the 200 metres mixed at Sydney 2000, Massimiliano Rosolino. Other guests include volleyball coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, Andrew Howe, former Italian long distance runner and sprinter, and former volleyball player belonging to the so-called 'generation of phenomena', Andrea Zorzi.
