The Liuc university is the most international among small Italian universities (up to 5000 students): this was mentioned by Censis in the 2025/26 edition of its Guida delle Università Italiane.

Recognition

.

Liuc (which ranks fifth in the overall ranking of small universities) achieves a score of 99/120 and is in fact the leader in this specific item, which includes data on incoming foreign students and Italian students spending study periods abroad, but not only. In fact, Censis also takes into account the universities' spending on mobility, the share of courses offered in English and the opportunities for obtaining a double degree.

International recruitment drive

.

Anna Gervasoni, Liuc Rector, who has been directly involved in the internationalisation of the University for years, stressed: "The Censis findings confirm the effectiveness of our international relations: suffice it to say that more than 40% of Liuc graduates have had an experience abroad and that there are currently 149 agreements with partner universities in 38 EU and non-EU countries. Moreover, the offer in English is rich and articulated, with two new three-year degree courses in English (one for Economics and one for Engineering) starting in the Academic Year 2025/26. The future? It is going more and more in this direction. This is why Liuc is also moving in recent months on the international recruitment front, i.e. to encourage the enrolment of foreign students in its courses: not just a short period here for an exchange, but actual enrolment. For a campus that is increasingly open to the world'.

Projects Abroad

.

Among the main projects abroad is the ERASMUS+ Study Experience Programme, to spend a semester studying abroad at a European partner university. Agreements are in place with 107 universities in 20 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. With the ERASMUS+ Internship Experience programme, the aim is to enrich one's CV by undertaking internships in European companies. Then there is EXCHANGE PROGRAMME to spend a semester studying abroad in our partner universities outside Europe. Agreements are in place with 42 universities in 18 different countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, South Korea, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, Switzerland, Thailand and Taiwan. With the Double Diploma you can spend a whole year abroad and obtain a double degree through a pre-established study plan. Agreements are in place with 10 universities in 7 partner countries: Argentina, Austria, Australia, China, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. With Summer/Winter Schools there is space for intensive courses, organised and held at foreign universities (sometimes Liuc's partners), in the winter (Winter) and summer (Summer) periods, such as at the Stevens Institute of Technology in New York.

Quality Education

.

The Censis Report also highlights good rankings in specific classifications on teaching: Economics is in fourth place among small universities for the three-year degree and in third place for the master's degree, behind important universities in Milan. Respectively in first and second place, again among small universities, are the three-year and master's degrees of Engineering (in the specific ranking, with two other competitors).
