Wegreenit two projects worth over 37 million in Milan and Alessandria

Wegreenit - a general contractor specialised in the energy requalification of existing buildings - has won two European tenders for energy efficiency work on public residential buildings (Erp) between Milan and the province of Alessandria, for a total value of more than EUR 37 million.

The first project, worth about EUR 22 million, concerns the energy upgrading of an Erp complex in the Baggio district of Milan, consisting of 13 buildings and 530 housing units, managed by Metropolitana Milanese.

The project, which is part of the use of the REPowerEU measure of the Pnrr, envisages the construction of a thermal coat over a total area of 26,767 square metres, the insulation of roofs, the installation of new generation systems and the replacement of existing windows and doors, with the aim of reducing energy requirements by around 90% and bringing the buildings up to energy class A4, significantly improving performance and living comfort with a consequent cut in utility bills.

The second project, worth about EUR 15.5 million, involves five buildings with a total of 350 housing units distributed between Alessandria, Tortona, Casale Monferrato and Valenza, managed by the Southern Piedmont Territorial Housing Agency. In this case too, the interventions envisage an integrated approach to energy efficiency, with significant expected benefits: thanks to thermal insulation with insulation on over 14,400 square metres and the modernisation of the systems, it will be possible to achieve a reduction in consumption of up to 96% and a cut in utility bills of up to 90%, as well as a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. For both projects, the construction period is approximately two years.

Both projects are part of public-private partnership models and are supported by the resources of the Pnrr - REPowerEU and the Conto Termico 3.0, confirming the strategic role of these instruments in fostering large-scale redevelopment of the public building stock.
