Administrative, technical and auxiliary staff: over 120 million to be paid (pay rises and arrears) to around 40,000 employees
Valditara: “A promise kept; we will continue to recognise the value of those who work in schools”
Funds earmarked for the professional development of ATA staff are set to appear on the October payslip, with increases ranging from 700 to 2,000 euros per year, plus arrears amounting to between 1,450 and 4,150 euros. Thanks to intensive coordination efforts, the payments will be made in a single instalment for approximately 40,000 posts, including the arrears due.
For the remaining 6,000 positions, payment will also be made in a single instalment via a subsequent payment, following the offsetting of amounts and the progression through the ranking lists managed by the Regional Education Offices.
The measure
The measure, which involves the payment of over 120 million euros, forms part of a broader package of measures, characterised by the conclusion of three collective agreements in the education sector – which will guarantee monthly pay rises of up to 304 euros for ATA staff – and the introduction of new welfare measures, including health insurance.
Valditara
“Another promise kept. The recognition of ATA staff’s professional expertise, together with the three contract renewals – which have brought significant pay rises for this vital section of school staff – confirm our firm commitment to giving the necessary recognition to all those who ensure our schools run smoothly every day,” said the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara.
