Having reached the age of majority, the first SUV launched by Audi in 2006 to inaugurate the range marked by the letter Q, gets a makeover. Available from June in 5- or 7-seat versions with prices starting at 77,000 euros, the new Q7 is aimed primarily at business executives with families who do not want to renounce safety and luxury in their leisure time, as well as on business trips.

Companies now account for 65 per cent of Audi customers who choose Audi models from Ingolstadt because of the intrinsic qualities of the models, the flexibility of the purchase, financing and rental solutions, and the guarantee of priority premium service;

Available in the 48V 45 Tdi (231 hp) and 50 Tdi (286 hp) mild-hybrid diesel and plug-in hybrid petrol variants, also V6, the new Audi Q7 gets a profound aesthetic and technical restyling. The muscular character is emphasised by a new octagonal, three-dimensional single-frame radiator grille, new front air intakes and redesigned exhaust tailpipes. Audi's Matrix Led Hd headlamps with laser spots and Oled rear light clusters offer an unprecedented light signature, enhancing safety and style.

In 2023 the Q range accounted for more than half of Audi's sales in Italy and was a commercial success, with the Audi Q3 and Q5 best-sellers in Italy and the world respectively. The Q7 continues to be the flagship of the range, at over five metres long and almost two metres wide and 1.74 metres high. The large dimensions offer ample space on board thanks to a generous wheelbase of almost three metres with a five or seven-seater option and a boot capacity of 867-1,993 litres (90 less on the seven-seater) and 563-1,863 litres for the plug-in version, without compromising the dynamic capacities guaranteed by a refined chassis and cutting-edge technological systems that make the Q7 agile even on the narrow roads of the Isle of Elba. Inside, the Audi family feeling finds its maximum expression with massaged and air-conditioned seats, a digital dashboard and dual screens for infotainment and climate control as well as all the physical or digital buttons with haptic feedback useful for selecting the main functions.

Technical highlights of the new Audi Q7 include adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering with rear wheel steerability of up to 5 degrees and active anti-roll stabilisation, which are available on request. These features improve the vehicle's agility and stability, making it versatile both on and off-road;

As Audi continues on its path towards electrification, the Q7 focuses on diesel engines. The V6 3.0 Tdi Mhev 48V engine reduces fuel consumption and offers high performance. The 50 Tdi version with 286 hp enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 241 km/h. A 22 kWh battery has been adopted for the plug-in variant, offering an electric range of up to 84 km Wltp.

While not denying the brand's 'electric' choices, Fabrizio Longo, director of Audi Italy, stressed the importance of adapting to the market. Longo highlighted the need for a balance between endothermic and electric engines in response to an evolving market. Audi, despite growing uncertainty, continues to invest in advanced technologies and maintain a commitment to sustainability.

The new Audi Q7, on sale from June 2024 with prices starting at €77,000, is aimed at an audience seeking elegance, performance and advanced technology in a luxury SUV. Plug-in variants start at 82,900 euros, offering uncompromising power and efficiency. With this restyling, Audi not only renews an iconic model, but also strengthens its position in the premium SUV segment, continuing to meet customer needs with technological innovations and unprecedented flexibility.
