Audi unveiled the Q9 mega suv starting with the interior
The Ingolstadt brand offers a first glimpse of the cockpit of the full-size SUV due to go on sale in 2027, which will be the year of the biggest product initiative in Audi's history.
Audi has unveiled the interior of the new Q9 suv with three rows of seats for 6 or 7 people that will be at the top of the brand's range. It will be one of the breakthrough models for the brand that will materialise during 2027, the already planned year of the biggest product initiative in Audi's history. If for now the Q9 has been unveiled in still camouflaged mode, the interior is the definitive one, making a first choice clear: the new Q9 will not be a stretched Q7, but rather a luxurious saloon capable of attracting, above all, the most demanding buyers.
To achieve this, the SUV will focus on top solutions such as doors that open remotely and via smartphones, or the blackout panels of the huge panoramic roof. Designed in Europe and produced in Slovakia with the US and Middle Eastern markets in mind, and the European market a little less so, it will be a model with comfort and space, but with a high standard. This means a high standard of luxury and gadgets that experts call surprise features.
The new Q9 will aim to compete with the Mercedes Maybach GLS and also the future BMW Alpina presented, in concept mode, at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2026, thus offering itself as Audi's new luxury showcase.
Completing a 2027 full of new models on the way, all strategic and in perfect Audi style, in addition to the Q9, there will be both the 2027 model year of the other Q7 suv and the already announced electric entry-level that will be called A2 or Q2, but in both cases e-tron. Plus, of course, the expected battery-powered sports car anticipated by the Concept C and considered the heir to the iconic TT of the modern era. Audi will then have changed its skin to aim for the top of the premium world, but of the third millennium.
