Audi, speed at the heart of the Milan Design Week debate
Presenting the 'Origin' installation and the national premieres of the R26 and RS5, combining design with a discussion on the deeper meaning of performance
At the Milano Design Week, Audi confirms its leading role for the thirteenth consecutive year with a project combining design, innovation and performance culture. Until 26 April, the four-ringed brand will be present with the 'Origin' installation, along with the national premieres of the R26 single-seater and the sporty Audi RS5.
Also at the centre of the programme was a series of evening talks, including the talk 'At the Origins of Speed', which explored a key concept: performance not as an immediate gesture, but as the outcome of a structured process.
The discussion was moderated by journalist Monica Maggioni, flanked by protagonists from different fields: from Olympic champion Federica Brignone to Stefano Domenicali, via Rolf Michl, Michele Pasca di Magliano and Nicola Vicino.
Despite their different backgrounds, the speakers shared a common vision: speed is closely linked to design depth and the ability to interpret contexts. A result that stems from an articulated path of analysis and progression.
The evening ended with the official presentation of 'Origin', realised in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects. The installation fits into the spaces of Portrait Milano, dialoguing with the historicity of the place and presenting itself as an invitation to reflection and the search for clarity in a contemporary context in constant movement.
