Auto China 2026: GWM presents five new models and a motorbike
GWM's Ora 5 focuses on petrol, hybrid and electric engines to suit every market.
The Beijing Motor Show 2026 is the 'home' event where Great Wall Motor (GWM) has chosen to unveil its car models. At the China International Exhibition Centre, the automotive giant is showcasing a profoundly renewed range, guided by the 'GWM One' philosophy, a concept that aims to restore the car to its original essence as a tool of mobility, without forgetting the trends of the moment, namely artificial intelligence and technological neutrality.
Wey V9X: the intelligent flagship
It starts with the Wey V9X, a six-seater luxury SUV that marks the debut of the GWM ONE S platform. With a length of almost 5.3 metres and a generous wheelbase, this model looks like a true mobile office or hi-tech living room. The real innovation lies in 'Little Wei', the first native AI-based on-board assistant that seamlessly integrates driving systems with those in the cabin. Under the bonnet beats an upgraded Super Hi4 system: a 2.0T motor coupled with an 80 kWh battery allowing a purely electric range of 470 km, supported by an 800V architecture for ultra-fast recharging.
ORA 5: efficiency meets style
For those looking for maximum efficiency in everyday driving, the ORA 5 Hybrid Edition is the technological answer to range anxiety. Thanks to a new-generation intelligent two-speed hybrid system, the car is capable of handling six driving modes independently. The numbers speak for themselves: consumption of just 4.5 litres per 100 km and an overall range of over 1,100 kilometres. Despite the focus on consumption, the responsiveness is comparable to that of a pure electric car, with a 0-100 km/h sprint covered in 7.7 seconds.
