Total clash between majority and opposition on differentiated autonomy. A script already seen in Parliament, but this time the roles are reversed because the playing fields are the regional councils of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, where the discussion goes to the bitter end: the centre-left has the ball in its hand, the centre-right is at the barricades. The two sessions, in some ways, proceed on parallel tracks. In both cases, the two regional councils are called to vote on the request for an abrogative referendum on differentiated autonomy. Two proposals are on the agenda, for total or partial abrogation, along the lines of what was approved on 8 July by the regional council of Campania
In Emilia Romagna still marathon for referendum
The Emilia-Romagna legislative assembly voted in the morning on the first resolution on the request for an abrogative referendum on differentiated autonomy. The resolution concerns total abrogation. The majority (PD, Green Europe, L'Altra Emilia-Romagna and Iv) and the M5s voted in favour, while the centre-right voted against. There were 28 votes in favour, 13 against. The go-ahead came shortly after 8 a.m., at the end of an all-night marathon. Now the process is underway for the second resolution, the one on the referendum request for partial repeal. Nineteen are the agendas while the League alone had tabled 1,307 amendments last night. About one hundred still remain and the vote should be concluded in the morning. The assembly was proceeding by electronic vote, but at 8 a.m. the vote on the amendments by show of hands was triggered. The debate saw a total clash between the majority, centre-left, and the opposition, which was on the barricades. What inflamed the climate was the fact that this is the political act that ends the administration of Region President Stefano Bonaccini who, elected to the European Parliament, will resign within the week.
In Tuscany discussion postponed to 16 July
In Tuscany, where the request was signed by the group leaders of the PD, Iv and M5s, the League announced even before the convocation its intention to request an inversion of the agenda in order to bring forward the discussion of the regional integrated health and social plan, with about three thousand amendments and agendas attached to the proposed resolutions. The discussion was postponed to 16 July.
In Sardinia, vote in parliament on 17 July
On Wednesday, 17 July, Sardinia's regional council will vote on the resolution calling for a referendum to abrogate the differentiated autonomy law. This was decided by the conference of group leaders meeting in the via Roma building in Cagliari, in the presence of the region's president Alessandra Todde. The agenda includes the vote on two motions presented by all the majority group leaders, one each for the two questions to be submitted to the constitutional court, identical to those just voted by Campania, one total and one partial.
