Avio: Advent subscribes to the share issue and acquires a 6.54 per cent stake, becoming the second-largest shareholder
The 109 million deal announced in the summer has been completed
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Advent’s investment in Avio has taken effect. In line with the agreements signed in July, the US private equity firm, through Vantage Hyp, has subscribed to 3.275 million new Avio shares at €33.40 per share and now holds 6.54 per cent of the share capital. The total outlay amounted to €109.39 million. Advent thus becomes Avio’s second-largest shareholder behind Leonardo, which holds just under 19 per cent. The issue of the new shares had been authorised by the shareholders’ meeting in October 2025. In recent days, as previously stated by Giulio Ranzo, CEO of the space launch vehicle group, the go-ahead for the transaction was obtained in accordance with the Golden Power regulations. Advent has entered into a 12-month lock-up agreement covering the shares it holds.
