An app against the U.S. duties: it is called Trump Tax. It was developed by the group Green Left Alliance: it allows you to scan the barcode of products and find out their origin. The aim is to make people prefer Italian and European products to US ones. It was presented by the leaders of Avs, Nicola Fratoianni and Angelo Bonelli, in a flash mob in front of the Chamber of Deputies.
Bonelli: we are for free choice
Is this a way to boycott American products? 'We give a free choice,' explained Bonelli, 'we allow greater awareness. It is clear that if tomorrow, at the supermarket, I have in front of me a Napa Valley wine and a Tuscan one, I have no doubts and I choose the Tuscan one'. 'It is a tool in the hands of everyone and everyone to defend our production,' added Fratoianni, 'but above all to allow everyone and everyone to be aware in their choices. Because awareness is an important weapon. The lords of the world who act as masters, like Donald Trump, think that people count for nothing, but people if they unite are a power'.
"App rejected by Apple"
.Bonelli went on to point out that 'the application was rejected by Apple. But it is on the Android system and can be accessed with all mobile phones from trumptax.eu'.
Future Perspectives
.'Tomorrow,' Fratoianni added, 'it would be nice to have an app, and we will work on it, that is able to tell us not only where what we buy was produced, but also with what guarantees for those who work, with what elements of social protection. This would be a great response to the great chaos of this world in which forces, brute force, are confronted on the skin of workers, businesses, entrepreneurs and also of our country'.
