Baglietto launches the first 60-metre yacht in its history
It is the largest boat since the shipyard was founded in 1854. CEO Deprati: 'crowning achievement of years of work'
Baglietto has launched its flagship: the first T60, a 60-metre yacht that is also the largest vessel ever built by the shipyard in its long history, which began in 1854. The boat is designed by the shipyard's historic designer, Francesco Paszkowski, who, together with Margherita Casprini, also took care of the interiors.
The launch was also conceived as a company party: the ceremony was, in fact, open to all workers and their families, who witnessed, live, the realisation of the project to which, each for his or her part, they have contributed over the years. Participants (around 400 people) included the yacht's (European) owner, accompanied by his family, and then Beniamino Gavio, the shipyard's owner, the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure, Edoardo Rixi, as well as the Governor of Liguria, Marco Bucci, and the Mayor of La Spezia, Pierluigi Peracchini.
The boat, which was lowered into the basin with a large travel lift, where it touched the water for the first time, is an evolution of the T52, a previous successful model. But the layout is innovative and is designed to eliminate the traditional separation between interior and exterior. The yacht's entire upper deck, then, displays a rather original configuration: it is dedicated to the owner (a European) and is completely walkable. The owner's suite is accessed from a central lobby where there is also a crystal lift. Guest accommodation includes four cabins on the main deck, two VIPs and two guests, while a fifth cabin is located on the lower deck.
