At Banco Bpm, where a complex negotiation is underway for the renewal of the supplementary agreement, the bankers will be able to have at least a couple of certainties on the organisation of work at the bank. The first is that smart working will be strengthened, with more possibilities to reconcile life and work and more protections, especially for the most fragile workers and those with greater family loads. The second is that there is an opening to use this working method also in branches and in customer care: in October, discussions will begin to define, on an experimental basis, the activation criteria and the target groups of workers.
The trade unions (First, Fabi, Uilca, Fisac and Unisin) have in fact signed a further important agreement with the bank on agile work, which launches a 12-month trial in which the staff of head office structures and customer support development are also allowed to access agile work. A maximum of ten agile work days per month is envisaged for head office employees.
Disasters and 100% smart working
.In addition, in the case of particularly serious situations, such as natural disasters, earthquakes or extreme weather conditions, remote working mode may be used up to five days a week, to protect people's safety.
The extension to branches
.Among the novelties of this agreement is the commitment shared by the parties to extend smart working also to the sales network. A specific discussion on this issue is already planned for October 2025, with the aim of identifying rules and tools to make this opportunity possible also for those working on the network.
Additional days during children's summer holidays
.The agreement includes a series of additional days to help work-life balance for certain categories. For example, for parents of children up to 12 years old, there is a package of eight additional days of agile work that can be used in the period between June and September. The same package is provided for those who assist disabled family members benefiting from the permits provided for by Law 104/92.
