The closure of bank branches is creating huge penalties especially for the most disadvantaged areas. If we add to this the low digital skills in some regions, a dramatic mix emerges that prevents the most vulnerable in particular from accessing essential banking services. Not to mention the risk of crime and usury.
How can the phenomenon be curbed? What are the strategies of the government and the banks?
