The importance of the statement of costs and charges, how to read and analyse every single piece of information reported by intermediaries and that which may be absent. What questions should be asked of one's advisor in order to assess his or her performance, also through the data in the report. With the submission in recent weeks of reports on the costs and charges incurred by clients for investments in 2023, intermediaries have taken a further step towards the transparency required by Mifid2, but there is still plenty of room for improvement.
