The Its Academy of Basilicata is aiming at the Mattei Plan by launching, with the Fondazione Nuove Tecnologie per la Vita of Bergamo, an experiment that looks towards Africa. The aim is to export the 'Its model' through joint ventures with Italian companies. On the strength of the NRP's 4 million for laboratories and the enhancement of training offerings, the Its Academy in Basilicata is looking to the government's plan that rewards synergies between Italian ITSs on national and international projects. Hence the partnership with the Lombardy Foundation. The aim is to train on site 'super technicians' who will find employment in Italy and in their own countries in the energy and mechatronics area, also with the contribution of digital twins from ITS laboratories to be 'taken' to developing countries, particularly in the sub-Saharan area. "A 'do-it-yourself' training that," explains Giuseppe Paternò, president of the Basilicata Its Academy, "with the Bergamo Foundation, chaired by Giuseppe Nardiello from Lucania, has consolidated its presence in Egypt and Ethiopia with a course on cosmetic production and industrial plant engineering. A model that we also want to export to Argentina, focusing on emigrants from Lucania'. Two Its calls for applications are open and expire on 30 September, and others are in the pipeline to recruit young Lucanians.
