Basketball, New York Knicks beat the Spurs and win the NBA Cup

The New York Knicks won the NBA Cup 2025, defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the final 124-113, in Las Vegas. After a largely balanced first three quarters, the Knicks took the lead, led by OG Anunoby, who scored 28 points, and Jalen Brunson, who scored 25. Also decisive was the contribution of Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds despite a calf injury that limited his use. New York built its success by dominating under the basket, with a net 59-42 in the final rebound count. This is the third edition of the NBA Cup, previously won by the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Each player on the winning team earns an extra $318,560 for winning the trophy.
