Ten c presents “Art et Métiers”, the third instalment of Live&Age, the trilogy of short films celebrating the brand’s shared values: durability, authenticity, craftsmanship and the passing on of knowledge. A narrative journey rooted in the very essence of Ten c: looking beyond appearances to create garments designed to last, evolve and develop character over time.
Derived from the acronym for ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale, Ten c is part of the Veneto-based group Fgf Industry Spa, led by Enzo Fusco, and has built its identity on creating garments that stand the test of time, an approach that finds its fullest expression in OJJ (Original Japanese Jersey), the brand’s signature fabric which, like denim, transforms and improves with wear, adapting to the wearer.
Following “Guardian of the Water Valley”, a tribute to crafts handed down from generation to generation, and “True to the Form”, dedicated to the authenticity of objects that bear visible traces of their history and, in particular, to classic car collecting, with “Art et Métiers”, Ten c celebrates the value of craftsmanship and the passing on of knowledge through the collaboration between two figures at the forefront of contemporary craftsmanship: Giancarlo Busato, representing the third generation of the historic Stamperia d’Arte Busato, and the illustrator Ale Giorgini.
Since 1946, the Stamperia d’Arte Busato, based in the centre of Vicenza in a historic 16th-century building, has preserved traditional techniques such as lithography, woodcut and engraving within a workshop that has remained virtually unchanged over the years. It is a place where craftsmanship, precision and the passing on of knowledge from one generation to the next continue to bring unique works to life, just as is the case with Ten c garments.
At the heart of the short film, a special collaboration takes shape. For Ten c, Ale Giorgini creates an illustration which is subsequently reproduced using lithography and then featured on a limited-edition T-shirt.
