Beauty must be preserved because it is good for people's lives and for social well-being.

The economy of beauty was discussed at the meeting Beauty and sustainability. Noah's Ark 2:0 between art and story, which took place yesterday in the Sala Gerola of the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento. Noah's Ark is the symbol of saving beauty in the widest sense, from artistic expression to the riches of nature. This is why Nicoletta Polla Mattiot, editor-in-chief of How To Spend It, the luxury and Made in Italy magazine of Il Sole 24Ore, discussed the topic with those who deal with it in different fields.

Explaining why it is important to preserve Italy's immense heritage of beauty was Isabella Dalla Ragione, president of the Arboreal Archaeology Foundation, Marco Nones, artist, and Susanna Sieff, chief sustainability officer Lefay Resorts & Residences.

Wealth bears fruit

.

Isabella Dalla Ragione works in the preservation of ancient orchards, designs garden restorations and takes care of biodiversity. In the course of her work, for example, she recovers knowledge of over 100-year-old fruit plants from sources of antiquity such as documents or works of art, but also from direct recognition and tries to bring them back into the cycle of the agricultural economy.

The Art of the Future

.

Marco Nones, on the other hand, is an exponent of environmental art in Val Di Fiemme. Nones creates works that will literally sprout beauty in the future, including glass cases containing carefully selected seeds.

In addition, it created RespirArt, a park created on the ruins of the Vaia storm, which is a pathway between natural beauty and art installations. RepirArt also has an important economic spin-off through tourism.

The luxury of sustainability

.

"Sustainability," concludes Polla Mattiot, "will be a real driver of development when it becomes a business.

This is confirmed by Susanna Sieff, who explains how the demand for sustainable tourism and hospitality is growing, because enjoying a starry sky or natural cuisine is an experience that has no impact, but creates value. Also thanks to technology, which helps not to give up comfort.
